Wall Street Journal EMBA rankings validate part-time programs

Today's scratch paper version of the Wall Street Review had a special section devoted to Boss MBAs, including a top 25 slate of schools and a bunch of related articles about the programs, their customers, and companies' views of EMBAs. The box is online, too:
2008 Executive MBA RankingsAnd the A-one Executive M.B.A. Programs Are... The rankings did not comprise any Boston-area business adherents offering EMBAs (Northeastern, UMass, Bentley, Babson, etc.) but I found it unique that such a list was even featured in the Wall Roadway Journal. Just three years ago the WSJ printed an article that quoted governing recruiters calling anything less than a full-time program "MBA lite" (see Part-period vs. Full-time, Online, and my Harvard whine). The in truth that the WSJ now has a ranking mechanism and related coverage for part-together MBA programs aimed at working professionals validates this unit of 25 schools as serious, legitimate degrees to the unalloyed U.S. business establishment.

I hope be like sentiment can one day be extended to quality unsparing arts and professional masters' programs that can be entranced part-time. In the world of higher drilling, "continuing education" is often associated with people charming classes casually, and many people in academia are ignorant of the serious study and research taking city at part-time degree programs. You can skim more about my thoughts on this state of affairs in the following article:The Compass School's 88% dilemmaFinal thoughts about the Harvard Extensiveness School
